WebTView Completed Porting to Five Different Hardware Vendors to make High-Quality Internet TV Channels Easily Accessible from TV and Mobile

The WebTView platform enables ODMs and OEMs that develop IP-enabled devices such as Set-Top Boxes (STB), mobile phones, media players, broadband-enabled TVs, Media Servers, and Portable Media Players (PMP) among others, to deliver infinite high-quality Internet videos and music to consumers.

The WebTView platform enables service providers, telcos, cable companies and mobile operators to deploy real Internet TV service with no additional infrastructure investment and low operational cost on a single-box of their choice.

The WebTView client plug-in is already integrated with five leading ODMs and OEMs. The integrated solution will be available this month for operators and retail chains. "WebTView is first-to-market with an end-to-end software solution that enables service providers to differentiate their TV services by delivering a wide range of high quality Internet TV channels directly to the consumer's TV and Mobile, bypassing the PC", commented Eli Fux, WebTView's CEO and Co-Founder.

The WebTView Platform consists of two main components: a server and an integrated client plug-in. Unlike other solutions, WebTView’s platform does not require a PC to deliver Internet TV channels.
The WebTView server is a back-office server that stores content metadata, which it dynamically discovers from the Internet on an on-going basis. The discovered video and music are automatically analyzed and classified.

The WebTView client plug-in is an optimized software application, which is integrated on IP-enabled media devices. The plug-in communicates with the WebTView server and ensures a smooth user experience through its smart engine, which personalizes the TV catalog according to the end-user behavior.
